Clinical trials today help us determine how Ketamine works, so we may be able to develop better methods for helping people lead normal lives. It’s a very exciting time for neural psychiatric clinical research.

In the future, it is likely that new medications will replace Ketamine – perhaps an orally active form. AKTARI will participate in clinical research to investigate the new frontier of Ketamine- like medications. Antidepressant drugs that work in hours instead of weeks may be on the market in a few years. The challenge will be to develop safe Ketamine tablets or similar derivatives.

As we move forward, we hope to discover novel ways of administering Ketamine, as well as improving the success rates. Today, about 85% of people respond well to Ketamine. One of our goals is to find ways to help 100%.
