During Treatment

During the Ketamine infusion, a few patients may experience a mild spaciness, increased sensitivity to light and sound, or altered perceptions of time and color. Following treatment, the effects rapidly dissipate and are gone within 20 to 30 minutes.

Everyone reacts differently to medications of all kinds, so we customize Ketamine treatments specifically to your symptoms. The medication dose and the frequency of administration is tailored to maximize your response.

Relief of Symptoms

Patients with mood disorders might feel significantly better within one hour of the first infusion. Patients with harmful or suicidal thoughts may feel those thoughts and feelings disappear immediately. However, everyone reacts differently, so other patients may not notice any improvement until after the fourth infusion. While some patients may experience sudden and dramatic improvements, many others will experience a slow gradual improvement.

[Ketamine] really is dramatic for some people. It’s the sort of thing really that makes it worth doing psychiatry, it’s a really wonderful thing to see.
